In the last two exhibition matches against Germany and South Sudan, LeBron James has led Team USA to win. Even at this age, the 39-year-old is not showing any signs of slowing down. NBA icon Eddie A. Johnson recently complimented the Lakers superstar LeBron James on SiriusXM NBA Radio, expressing his admiration for his valiant actions.
At this age, Eddie thinks that the basketball world has never seen a player like LeBron, who is in charge of movement and game outcomes.
Eddie A. Johnson can’t help but admire LeBron James
He said that LBJ is contributing more to this Olympic team than Bird and Magic did for the 1992 squad, drawing comparisons between the Dream Team icons and the four-time NBA Champion.
The legendary NBA player stated,
“Bird was still a tremendous player but his back was not… It didn’t make a Larry Bird. He was beat up. Magic was older.”
Though he feels that Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan carried the bulk of the team’s lifting, LeBron is the one supporting him despite being 39 years old. The Akron Hammer arrived at the Olympics in better shape than the majority of his current colleagues, according to the NBA great.

One more factor that elevates King James above the veterans Eddie listed is that everyone who is accompanying LeBron to Paris for the Olympics respects him. He said:
“They kind of like take the backseat. He’s out there playing point guard. A lot of those guys handle the ball on their own team. Every one of them, pretty much.”
