She expresses her pride in her physique and says she’s been waiting a long time to become a mother. In April, Ashanti made her pregnancy announcement with a comedic skit featuring her mother Tina Douglas. The tagline of the skit, which playfully referenced her 2002 hit song, read “Baby, baby, baby, baby.”
At the same time, they declared their engagement, but TMZ revealed last month that they had already tied the knot months earlier.
It appears that Ashanti and Nelly exchanged vows in Nelly’s homeland of St. Louis County, since public documents indicate their marriage was formally registered on December 27, 2023.
To be honest, it all made sense when Nelly was discovered massaging Ashanti’s belly in December.
For them, it’s a full circle family moment as they are recreating the 2000s glory days when they were two of the biggest names in music, having reignited their romance just a year ago.
