For the previous two years, Lonzo Ball has been coping with persistent health problems. The 26-year-old is excited to play in the NBA again in the upcoming season, having left the league in January of 2022. Ball intends to return to his pre-COVID-19 levels, despite the fact that he will need some time to catch up.
The Bulls great talked back about his playing days before the league had to be closed down because of the global health epidemic in an interview with The WAE Show. Ball asserted that he was the league’s finest point guard during that time.

Epidemic threw off his routine, and he hasn’t been able to get it back. He said:
“Like every time I catch my stride, something goes wrong, I ain’t gon’ cap. Either I get hurt or that one year I was in New Orleans, it was COVID that came out of nowhere. You look back at that month before COVID, if you was to ask me, I think I’m the best point guard in the league.”

Prior to being moved to the Pelicans during the 2019 offseason, Ball, the second overall selection in the 2017 NBA Draft, played two seasons with the Lakers. His life in New Orleans got off to a great start.
He averaged 12.4 points, seven assists, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in his first 56 games with the team. He also made 38.3% of his shots from beyond the arc. During that run of five games, he averaged 20.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, assists, and a 54.3% field goal percentage. It was during his All-Star-caliber play that the league was placed on indefinite leave because to COVID-19.
Ball found it difficult when play resumed in the NBA Bubble. He only averaged 7.1 points, 6.6 assists, and five rebounds in seven games. After losing six of its eight games in Orlando, New Orleans was eliminated from the playoffs.
Ball was traded to the Bulls in 2020–21 after putting up strong play. Before the catastrophe hit, he was having a great time in Chicago.
