Deion Sanders consistently provides valuable content for the media to discuss. Whether intentional or not, Sanders’s media engagements frequently result in memorable events, sometimes at his expense.
That’s why, in anticipation of a pivotal 2024 season, everyone tuned in to Colorado‘s media day on Friday. He did not let down, becoming enraged with a reporter because of his CBS connection.
Why is Deion Sanders so hostile toward CBS?
Eric Christensen works at CBS Colorado as the managing editor of sports. By stating up front that he is from the Denver affiliate rather than the national side, with whom Sanders had a falling out, he attempted to get Sanders to respond to his query.

Sanders, however, was not having any of it and shot back, saying, “You are who you are, CBS is CBS.” Then he calls what CBS done “foul”. Nobody is quite clear what CBS did to enrage Sanders to such an extent; while there have been some critical stories in the past, none of them are particularly severe that we are aware of.
Sanders also got into an argument with another reporter, asking him why he didn’t like the show in response to a question from Sean Keeler of the Denver Post: “Why do you not like us? You don’t like us, man. Why do you do this to yourself?”
To be fair, since taking over as head coach a few years ago, Sanders has endured a great deal of criticism. A large portion of it is because the camera teams he hires draw unnecessary attention, but he has undoubtedly been impacted personally by some of the coverage.
