Stephen Curry made his first-ever participation at the Olympics in Paris in 2024. The Golden State Warriors player captivated everyone with his incredible athleticism during his debut on the global stage, even the well-known NBA pundit Skip Bayless.
LeBron James was named the MVP of the Olympics following Team USA’s 98-87 triumph over France in the championship game. Not long later, Bayless sparked a social media debate by saying that LeBron shouldn’t be the MVP. The sports analyst believes that Curry is the true champion. Bayless wrote on X,

Curry’s final-game performance against France included 24 points. The Warriors star, who has incredible shooting ability, made eight three-pointers, three of which came in the last minutes of the fourth quarter. James, on the other hand, shot an amazing 60% from the field while dishing out 14 points and 10 assists.

Many fans expressed their annoyance at Bayless for misrepresenting James’ Olympic stats, which had already demonstrated his dominance over Stephen Curry. While playing a significant role in Team USA’s victory, Curry fell short of LeBron.

However, James had a fantastic tournament, averaging 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.3 steals. With an average of 14.8 points per game, Curry led the team in scoring, but many felt that James’ leadership and all-around play were more important.
