For the 2024–25 NFL Season, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning Pick Top 5 Quarterbacks

When it comes to discussing quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the authorities. With nine Super Bowl rings between them—Brady had seven and Manning had two—the two former quarterbacks are regarded as some of the greatest in NFL history. They also both set numerous league records throughout the regular season and postseason.

Who did Brady and Manning select as the NFL’s best 5 quarterbacks?

Now that the NFL 2024 season is set to begin, both have published their lists of the top 5 quarterbacks, and they both have a few favorites in common.

Brady, a Fox analyst today, appeared on ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith’s show Fanatics Fest to discuss a range of current NFL issues and to reminisce about some of his greatest NFL memories. Brady said,

“I look at Josh Allen as someone who always impresses me as a player,” “I see Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow who is unbelievable the way he throws the ball.”

Regarded as the NFL’s greatest quarterback of all time, Brady did not think twice to name Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes as the best passer of the modern era.

Manning, who was seated next Smith, was instructed to compile a list of the top five passers and follow suit.

Four of the quarterbacks Brady listed are on Brady Manning’s list, which is remarkably identical. However, Justin Herbert of the Chargers was included.

Manning said,

“I’m a big fan of Joe Burrow,”  “I’m glad to see him healthy again. I like the way he carries himself. He doesn’t sweat. He doesn’t flinch. He’s just calm all the time.”

“Justin Herbert is as talented as anybody. He can throw a mile; Lamar Jackson does things that just don’t seem possible with the ball in his hands. He passes well, he runs and he also protects. I could never run, so I never had that problem.

“Josh Allen is a total stud. Tough. I watched him this summer. He’s highly motivated to give Buffalo a championship,”
