Houston Teacher In Underwear Stops Late-Night Teen Assault Attempt

David Garza, a teacher heard a boy scream, “I’m 15, help me,” he grabbed his pistol. The public is asked to assist the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Crime Stoppers in identifying the individual who carried out the attempted sexual assault in Houston that was stopped by a nearby teacher.

Just before midnight on Saturday, July 28th, an event occurred, according to HCSO. Authorities said that the suspect and a teenager boarded the same bus on public transportation and alighted at the same stop.

The young woman was allegedly followed by the suspect as she made her way toward a nearby apartment building.

Eyewitness account of the events

That’s when a kind man who would subsequently be identified as David Garza, a teacher, came to help.

“I looked out the window and I saw a man beating up a woman on the ground… trying to take her clothes off,” Garza claimed in an interview with KHOU. Then, with nothing on but his undies, he grabbed his rifle and raced outside, as captured on Ring camera showing him pointing it at the suspect.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect fled the scene on a nearby public bus.

He is identified by the authorities as a “Black male last seen wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and a black hoodie with a white Reebok logo.”

HSCO informs TooFab that no arrests have been made, despite Crime Stoppers claiming the culprit has subsequently been taken into custody.
