Some of the all-time greats in basketball are competing for the United States of America in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. It is understandable that this team is being compared to the 1992 Dream Team given the presence of potential Hall of Famers like Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James on the same roster. The most recent person to weigh in on the new 1992 Team vs. 2024 Team was Lil Wayne, who disregarded Michael Jordan and company.
Lil Wayne expressed his belief that the current team could overcome Michael Jordan’s 1992 Dream Team in a hypothetical match during his appearance on Fox Sports’ UNDISPUTED.
Lil Wayne thinks his team would beat Michael Jordan’s and by some distance
Remarkably, the rapper supported his prediction for victory by more than 10 points, not even thinking that this match would be close. He said,
“I gotta say, I would go with the new squad…. By 10 points, I can see that.”

Paul Pierce, who predicted Steve Kerr’s team to win this made-up match, appeared to be pleased with the 41-year-old star. Pierce spoke on their behalf and gave their justifications.
He said that the only player on the 1992 Dream Team who could be considered “unguardable” was Michael Jordan. In addition, he thought Larry Bird and Magic Johnson were quite elderly. By comparison, the 2008 champion doesn’t even think Karl Malone and Charles Barkley are the greatest players of all time in their respective positions.
