NBA 2K Blasted by Dwight Howard for Its Inaccurate Ratings and Face Scans

Dwight Howard has a lot to say about NBA 2K. And it’s not pleasant for the game developers. The basketball community eagerly awaits the release of the newest NBA 2K edition every summer. Every year, this launch raises a great deal of controversy among both players and spectators, with the majority of these disputes originating from alleged errors in player evaluations.

Dwight Howard has uncovered yet another error in the venerable game, adding gasoline to the fire in the continuing debates. Howard posted his ratings from NBA 2K5 to NBA 2K24 in a video that he published on X. He voiced his displeasure with the ratings and facial scanning being utterly wrong in the caption.

“Man don’t none of those look like me and they had me at a 93 in 09 and a 96 in 2013 that’s how you know these ratings ain’t accurate.”

Indeed, Howard’s 2009 season was superior to his 2013 one. To be fair, though, 2K rates the player according to how well they did in the previous season.
