Ja’Marr Chase has had enough. Chase never participated in a complete session since the preseason started, but he did occasionally visit the club’s facilities and take part in some drills prior to the preseason. The two sides were at a standstill and he has been holding out.
But at last, the former LSU player on the field again, participating in his first full practice since the start of training camp. Bengals shared photos from the drill online, showcasing their standout receiver establishing a connection with Joe Burrow.

Interestingly, there isn’t a single report of Chase receiving a longer contract. Whether the Bengals will pay him this season is still up in the air. But it’s unlikely to materialize given the financial limitations.
Fans react to Ja’Marr Chase
Many supporters were startled by his comeback after he missed a lot of workouts and questioned whether it was a pointless exercise or whether he would soon receive a contract:
So is a contract close?
If not what point did he prove? Lol

Is he getting his contract? or did he just give up on the holdout

It looked like a strange move on the part of a receiver when Chase held out for a larger pie. The former LSU student has two years remaining on his $30.8 million, four-year contract that he signed in 2021. Why then did he wait?
