Rapper T.I. was shackled Sunday night, August 6, at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport after being apprehended, apparently for mistaken identity.
According to reports, the warrant was issued for a different individual who goes by Clifford Harris, the same name as T.I., who is wanted in Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland.
The guy is wanted for allegedly using a gun in violent acts directed at a woman and for stalking her.
T.I. was transported to Fulton County Prison from the airport. The arrest automatically resulted in an extradition hearing because the warrant was issued outside of the state.
After speaking with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office over the phone, T.I.’s lawyer Steve Sadow informs TMZ that his client was freed from custody two hours after being taken into custody.
Clifford Harris, the wanted man, is said to weigh 205 pounds. It is said that T.I. weighs 165 pounds. This year’s June 13th saw the filing of the complaint.
