Stephen A. Smith: I Don’t Want to Hear Anymore About “The QB” Colin Kaepernick

In NFL circles, coach Jim Harbaugh’s approach to bring Colin Kaepernick back to the organization has caused a stir and reignited debate about the former quarterback’s future in the league. Especially Stephen A. Smith wished to weigh in on the issue.

Coach Jim Harbaugh has invited former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to join his coaching staff. Harbaugh is currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. Smith said it’s time to put an end to the discussion over Kaepernick’s comeback as an active player on the Stephen A. Smith Show, even if he fully supports his decision to coach in the league.

If he wants to bring Colin Kaepernick there, cool. No problem. I think Colin Kaepernick would be a good coachWhat I would say, however, is I don’t want to hear sh*t about him being a quarterback. That ship should have sailed.”

Jim Harbaugh doesn’t want Colin Kaepernick

Since the beginning of the year, the quarterback and Harbaugh have been in communication over the coaching role, but he has not yet provided an update. Additionally, Harbaugh has made it clear that Kaepernick will only be joining the team as a coach and not as a player.

However, Kaepernick still hopes to play quarterback in the NFL again. The former 49ers quarterback stated his desire to play in an interview with Sky Sports just two days ago. He also disclosed that he is still training and is holding out for “one of these team owners to open up.”

It has been eight years since Kaepernick last played in the NFL, and Smith said he ought to think about taking on the position of coach.
