Bam Adebayo Roots For His Rumored Girlfriend A’ja Wilson For The WNBA MVP Title

As rumors swirl about their relationship off the court, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo is not letting that distract from rooting for his rumored WNBA girlfriend, A’ja Wilson, for a potential ‘u’nanimous’ WNBA MVP award. Adebayo has been vocal in his support for Wilson via a tweet that has now gone viral.

Despite the relationship rumors, Adebayo focuses on Wilson’s incredible talent and the deserving recognition she has earned this season. With her all-around game and leadership on full display, Wilson is on track to secure the coveted title of WNBA MVP, and Adebayo is making sure she gets the recognition she deserves.

To be fair, Adebayo isn’t exactly impartial. He and Wilson have been rumored to be dating for some time, and the story gained serious traction thanks to comments made by Miami-Dade County mayor Daniella Levine Cava when she gave Adebayo a symbolic key to the county.

Wilson is leading the WNBA in scoring with 27.3 points per game and she just broke the single-season record for most points.

The 28-year-old is also second in rebounds (11.9 per game) and first in blocks with 2.7 denials per contest. Few players have ever dominated at both ends of the floor like she is doing right now.

Player efficiency rating and win shares are far from definitive barometers as to a player’s performance, yet it’s worth noting Wilson is on pace to have the highest PER (36.0) for a season and already has the most win shares (10.4).

And while the WNBA MVP voting has historically favored players from one of the top two seeds, the Aces’ fourth-place position in the standings has done little to dent Wilson’s candidacy. Her consistency night in and night out is one of the biggest reasons the two-time reigning champions are still in line to host a first-round playoff series.

“I don’t want it to ever get lost on how good (A’ja) is,” Aces coach Becky Hammon told reporters before Wednesday’s 86-75 win over the Indiana Fever. “She just does it all. She’s in the middle of a run that sometimes I want to shake her and say, do you know how good you are? But then I don’t want to shake her because I don’t want to wake her up. She can just stay in whatever zone she’s in.”

As fans eagerly await the official announcement of the WNBA MVP award, Adebayo’s unwavering support for Wilson only adds to the excitement and anticipation. Whether or not the relationship rumors are true, one thing is certain: A’ja Wilson is a force to be reckoned with on the court, and Adebayo is proud to stand by her side as she makes a strong case for the ‘U’nanimous’ MVP title.
