Caitlin Clark Displays Ruthless Demeanor Just Like Her Idol Kobe Bryant

The Indiana Fever‘s season hasn’t been spectacular by any means, but with two weeks remaining in the regular season, the team has advanced to the postseason from a 13-27 record in 2023. The entrance of Caitlin Clark, the collegiate standout who has adapted to the WNBA with ease, has been a major factor in that.

It’s obvious that Clark expects greatness from her teammates because she sets high standards for herself. It would seem that Clark and the Fever are overjoyed to have secured a postseason berth on Tuesday night, but when asked about it prior to their Wednesday night matchup against the LA Sparks, Clark responded in a way reminiscent of Kobe Bryant.

Caitlin Clark’s goals extend beyond a WNBA postseason trip

While Clark didn’t explicitly deny that qualifying for the playoffs is a “great accomplishment,” she did make it plain that this was her expectation going into the season. She said,

“For me, this isn’t like a party… I mean, I’m not just happy to be in the playoffs. I think we have the type of team that can win and advance [in the playoffs].”

Although Clark and her colleagues aren’t the top seed, they still have high expectations and will undoubtedly treasure the chance to play in the postseason. Ever since they returned from the All-Star and Olympic breaks, they have won seven of their last eight games.
