Travis Kelce and Jason have struck gold when they ink a three-year, $100 million podcast deal with Wondery on Amazon, which gives the podcast network the multimedia rights to the hugely successful New Heights!
While talking about the collaboration on his sports talk show, 4th & 1, Cam Newton couldn’t contain his delight at how the Kelce brothers’ podcast was gradually becoming a money-making juggernaut. The former NFL MVP was initially astounded by the enormous sum of money being “dispersed” for the “New Heights,” which made its premiere in 2022.
Nevertheless, Newton, who has 1.48 million subscribers to his podcast Funky Friday, is aware that Kelce’s $100 million agreement did not happen overnight and that one must be “vigilant and persistent” in order to make it happen.
The staggering contract “is a testament to the talent and dedication that Travis and Jason—as well as the fantastic team behind the scenes—continue to pour into every episode,” according to Aaron Eanes, manager of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Cam Newton praises Travis Kelce and his brother for incredible success
Motivated by the accomplishments of the Kelce brothers, Newton is resolved to persist. The former player for the Carolina Panthers indicated that he feels no one else is providing the same kind of information that his podcast, Funky Friday,” does. He also alluded to his use of a blue ocean technique, subtly drawing comparisons between his journey and that of Travis and Jason.
Regarding that, Newton is prepared to persevere and wait for his turn to be compensated. When that time comes, the former quarterback expressed his gratitude to Kelces, just as Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb should thank Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson for opening up the market for wide receivers. Jefferson had earlier signed a four-year, $140 million extension with the Minnesota Vikings, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. Unquestionably, Lamb’s camp used Jefferson’s deal as leverage in talks with the Cowboys.
As part of this plan, Cam Newton also mentioned Joe Rogan, one of the most popular podcasters in the world, who earlier this year inked a multi-year contract worth up to $250 million with Spotify. Newton did clarify, though, that he is not jealous of Kelces’ or Rogan’s enormous success. Rather, he is committed to building his community with his team “one subscriber at a time” and doing it the “right way,” which will ultimately pay off in the long run—just as it did for Rogan and the Kelce brothers.
