We just received a bombshell this morning from Derrick Rose. The former NBA MVP declared his retirement today after being released by the Grizzlies last night with a mysterious video. Shams Charania of Athletic announced on X a short while ago that the 15-year veteran is putting up his boots.

According to Shams, DRose’s next chapter is about following his aspirations and sharing his development.
Ever since the Grizzlies bought out his contract, there have been whispers that the 2011 MVP is retiring. Derrick Rose posted this last night on Instagram to stoke the flames:
During his 15-year NBA career, the 35-year-old played for six different clubs. He would always be recognized as the league’s youngest MVP ever.
