Family is everything to Shaquille O’Neal, and he would sacrifice anything for his children. The NBA icon does, however, go on to talk about a seventh child that he has kept concealed from the public. Or maybe all he’s bad at math. But it’s unclear what the solution is.
Shaq’s “The Big Podcast” included comedian and actor Marlon Wayans, who had a good chat with his old friend. O’Neal inquired about Wayans’ child count in what appeared to be a standard query. Shaq said the following after finding out he has three:
“Obviously, I have 7 [kids].”
Regarding his personal life, his response raised eyebrows. When asked how many children he had, O’Neal answered with assurance and without hesitation. Shaq only has six children that people are aware of, despite his claim to have seven. Shareef, Myles, and Shaqir are the three sons of the four-time champion. Additionally, he has three daughters: Taahirah, Amirah, and Me’arah.
Perhaps Shaq mispronounced the number when speaking it. He has, however, previously asserted that he is the father of seven children. Families were discussed when Jamal Crawford joined “The Big Podcast” in March. Shaq revealed that he has seven kids during this conversation.
Shaq stated: “I got seven children. I wouldn’t mind a veterinarian, doctor, music exec, or a makeup line… Look man I got seven. I don’t like using this word, I ain’t never had no problems with none of my babies,”
Shaq mentioned his seven children not once, but twice in the same conversation. Individuals are prone to making errors. It is rare, though, for someone to count their children incorrectly more than once. He answered questions concerning his kids on Bobbi Althoff’s “The Really Good Podcast” in the previous year. Shaq’s response was, in contrast to previous times, more ambiguous and lighthearted.
“I do have 6/13 [kids], 6/15… Maybe 7, maybe 8, maybe 9“
Bobbi’s podcast primarily features sarcasm and dry humor, which accounts for Shaq’s response. Sadly, it merely serves to deepen the mystery surrounding the identity of a possible secret child.
