According to Kwame Brown, he thinks LeBron’s game just isn’t all that “developed” now that he’s 39 years old. He even went as far as to say that some of those “old-school players” could take him on and give him a run for his money.
Now, we all know LeBron is a legend in his own right, but Brown seems to have some doubts about his abilities as he gets older. It’s definitely a controversial statement, and fans of LeBron might have some strong opinions about it.
“The old-school players wouldn’t have any trouble with LeBron because, at 39, he should have developed a mid-range and a post-game, and he still hasn’t yet,” he said, per Fadeaway World. “His game really hasn’t evolved outside of a three and putting his head down and going to the basket. He doesn’t go like Paul Pierce, getting to a spot, pulling up. Those are the things you normally see out of a superstar player.”
This is far from the first time the 42-year-old former NBA player, who left the league in 2013, has ripped into LeBron. He’s been a noted critic of him for years and famously ripped into him with a rant last year after the Lakers were swept by the Denver Nuggets.
“If I had a LeBron James jersey, I’d be burning it right now,” he said in a seven-minute-long rant. “You are a great player, you got good stats, you played longer than anybody, you a bad motherf*cker, but you not that.”
It even sparked a back-and-forth between him and Shannon Sharpe, who lambasted him for being so critical of LeBron James. In response, he called Sharpe a “punk motherf*cker” and a “thick-tongued idiot.”
But hey, at the end of the day, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, right? Whether you agree with Brown or not, it’s always interesting to hear different perspectives in the world of sports. So, let the debates begin!
