Caitlin Clark has been accomplishing amazing things ever since she entered the league. Many people are in awe of the rookie’s output, including Cynthia Cooper. The Indiana Fever rookie was praised by the WNBA veteran, but not before she stressed how crucial it is for the league’s senior players to support the younger ones.

The league would gain and flourish as a result. On Mark Jackson’s podcast, Cooper stated: “It’s so incredibly important (for older legends to embrace younger players) we have to bridge that gap between what’s going on today and what we experienced. It will help the younger generation to know our experiences so that they don’t make the same mistakes and we continue to soar and grow as a league,”
In the middle of her speech, the four-time WNBA champion strayed from the subject and expressed her admiration for Clark’s performance during the Fever-Wings match. The Hall of Famer remembered the rookie shooting guard as “the absolute truth,” recalling how he finished with 28 points and 12 assists in a double-double. She said : “Caitlin Clark 28 and 12, winning on the road… The absolute truth.”0

The 61-year-old coach carefully dissected CC’s play, illuminating her skills outside of perfect rock shooting. Cooper saw the shrewd 22-year-old as one of the league’s top players given the caliber of play at which she has been playing. Cooper said : “She’s not just a three-point shooter. She’s a great passer, not a mediocre passer, not so-so, she is a great passer. But also she’s crafty. She’s just a rookie. That level of greatness, that level of play on a consistent basis as a rookie puts you up in the upper line of any league, definitely the W.”
Cooper seemed to be enthralled by Clark’s performance. With the greatest rookie season in league history, the leading candidate for the 2024 ROTY award is averaging 19.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game. She might lead the team to over 20 victories for the first time since the 2012 campaign, in addition to helping the Fever secure a postseason berth following a seven-year absence.
