Tom Brady’s Admission Has Bears Fans Stunned

At the conclusion of the 2019 NFL season, Tom Brady, the renowned quarterback best known for his two-decade-long dynasty with the New England Patriots, had to make a crucial choice. After winning six Super Bowls with New England, Brady made the decision to move on and start a new adventure that would eventually take him to even greater success. However, the choice was more complicated than it first appeared.

Brady went through a lot more consideration before deciding on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he had instant success and led the team to three NFC South titles and a Super Bowl victory. Brady revealed on Sunday a part of his journey that not many people were aware of: he gave the Chicago Bears considerable consideration.

Tom Brady speaks about almost joining Bears

NFL fans all remember how many teams fought for the opportunity to sign the greatest player of all time. The 42-year-old quarterback was being courted by numerous teams, including the Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans, and Las Vegas Raiders.

Brady’s final selection of Tampa seemed ideal; it was a victorious move that appeased naysayers and elevated his new team to prominence. However, the story takes an intriguing turn thanks to the Chicago Bears’ involvement—a secret that has been kept under wraps up until now. Brady disclosed during the Eagles vs. Bucs game broadcast that the Bears had been a major competitor for his services. Brady said :

“There were a lot of reasons to choose Tampa,”. “I made about 18 criteria why. Salary, the weather, facilities, and, of course, the players like Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. But I’ll tell you something I haven’t shared before – Chicago was very stealth in their recruitment, and I was seriously considering them.”

The news was bittersweet for the Bears and their supporters. The possibility of seeing Tom Brady in a Bears suit was very real, offering a thrilling “what if” for a team that hasn’t had reliable quarterback success in previous years. For the time being, Chicago can only speculate about the nearly-dynasty that existed, but the football world may never know how things would have worked out.
