During a Heated Exchange, Jerry Jones Threatens to Replace Radio Hosts

During his weekly radio appearance, Jerry Jones got into a heated argument with the hosts, clapped back at them for asking questions that made him uncomfortable and outright stating that he could find someone else to interview going forward.

The owner of the Dallas Cowboys joined “Shan & RJ on Audacy’s 105.3 The Fan” on Tuesday. He talked extensively about how his 82nd birthday was somewhat wrecked by his team’s crushing home loss to the Detroit Lions.

Jerry Jones’s rant on Radio

Jones was queried about the team’s offseason roster changes—or lack thereof—at one point in the chat, and it goes without saying that he wasn’t happy.

Jones seems to believe that the hosts were concentrating too much on the drawbacks, stating: “If you think I’m interested in a damn phone call with you over radio and sitting here throwing all the good out with the dishwater, you have gotta be smoking something over there this morning.” “This is not your job. Your job isn’t to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I’m sorry that I did it. That’s not your job. I’ll get somebody else to ask these questions, men.

Jones said that it wasn’t a funny matter when the hosts laughed.

“I’m not kidding. You’re not going to figure out what the team is doing right or wrong. If you are, or any five or 10 like you, you need to come to this [NFL] meeting that I’m going to today with 32 teams here, you’re geniuses.”

Jones continued by stating that choices may appear correct or incorrect at the moment, but they may have various outcomes. He cited his 1989 acquisition of the team as “one of the stupidest things I’ve ever done,” but it ultimately turned out to be beneficial. Jones concluded by saying he’s “sick” of the Cowboys’ 47-9 loss, but he still believes they can win this season. Here’s the full interview below :
