In a surprising turn of events, Bell alleges that the police officer, who was seemingly caught up in his political beliefs, released him based solely on his support for the former president. According to Bell, his MAGA cap became a shield against the consequences of his actions, suggesting that the officer’s bias may have influenced the outcome of his encounter with the law.
The 32-year-old spent nearly a decade as a running back in the NFL before swapping the gridiron for the ring.
Bell is a huge fan of Trump and he recently came under fire over a t-shirt that contained a vile message about Kamala Harris.
Bell says he was wearing a MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN (MAGA) cap when he was recently stopped by a traffic officer.
He wrote on X: ‘I got pulled over, cop asks for my license & registration, and while I’m in (the) process of getting everything for him, he then says: “I love your hat man.”
‘Immediately I say: “OF COURSE, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN SIR.” He hands me back my things and says: “Have a great day Mr. Bell”’
Bell provided no details or evidence to prove the veracity of the story.
The former running back – who spent half a decade with the Steelers before spells with the Jets, Chiefs, Ravens and Buccaneers – joined Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
It remains to be seen how this allegation will be addressed and whether it will lead to a broader examination of possible biases within the justice system.
