One of the best prospects going into the 2025 NFL Draft is Travis Hunter. The majority of experts predict that he will be selected in the top five. According to a new estimate, the Colorado Buffaloes’ dual threat may even catch passes from Matthew Stafford, the winner of the Super Bowl.
The Rams’ season has gotten off to a rough start. The champions of Super Bowl LVI are having a terrible time with only one victory and four defeats. They have lost several of their stars and are coping with numerous injuries. Conversely, Hunter is enjoying one of his finest NCAA seasons.
The protégé of Deion Sanders has 46 receptions, 561 yards, and six touchdowns as a receiver. Hunter has three defended passes, two interceptions, and 15 tackles as a cornerback. Six months remain until the 2025 draft, but observers are already speculating about Hunter’s potential destination. The Rams might finish the season so far down in the standings that they would have a chance to win the lottery, according to a recent idea.

The Rams’ missing component is Hunter
According to a recent prediction by NFL Trade Rumors expert Ethan Woodie, the Rams might select Hunter with the fourth overall choice in the 2019 draft. Hunter would be a wonderful fit for the Rams, who need quality on both sides of the ball, he said. Woodie clarified: “The Rams desperately need a lockdown cornerback, and Hunter can be that guy,”
Additionally, he mentioned that the Buffaloes star: “Could also shine as a receiver on this roster, and head coach Sean McVay would run some wild plays to maximize Hunter’s skillset.”
Early in the season, the Rams’ roster suffered several setbacks. They lost safety John Johnson III, guard Jonah Jackson, and receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua in the first two weeks alone. Woodie believes the Rams have little chance because of their shattered depth chart.
Stafford is producing strong numbers in spite of losing Kupp and Nacua. His output is at his typical level with 118 completions on 175 attempts, 1,238 yards gained, and only three interceptions.
