“It’s okay, don’t cry,” Terry Bradshaw said to Michael Strahan as he broke down in tears during Fox NFL Sunday. The legacy of the New York Giants appeared with Howie Long and company on the show’s Week 8 broadcast.
Fox advertised their coverage of the World Series halfway during the one-hour show. At that point in the series, the LA Dodgers were crushing the New York Yankees 2-0. In addition to playing in the NFL, Strahan is a native of the Big Apple, where his family resides.
Additionally, he hosts the ABC television program Good Morning America, which is filmed in the vicinity of Times Square. But Strahan was obviously impacted by the commercial after Game 3 was promoted on Sunday. Strahan stated:
“Let’s go Yankees, let’s go,”.
“I’ve got to say, I love LA. I love the Dodgers.
“Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, I love you guys. “But I live in New York, we need something good to happen.”
Then Strahan furrowed his brow and feigned tears over the situation of the New York City sports team. In the NFL, the Jets and Giants are in disarray, while the Mets missed out on the World Series by a slim margin.
“The football teams are struggling, let baseball be good,” Strahan wept.
“I’m hurt.”
Curt Menefee, anchor of Fox NFL Sunday, erupted in laughter at his antics. However, Bradshaw informed his colleague that it was “too late” to express regret for betraying the Dodgers.
He did, however, reassure him, saying, “Don’t cry, it’s okay, buddy.”
