Shannon Sharpe Declares He “Hates, Detests, Despises” Jerry Jones

Jerry Jones is no longer friends with Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe didn’t hold back when he delivered a vicious tirade at the Cowboys general manager, making it abundantly evident how he felt about Jones.

Sharpe’s remarks followed Jones’s virtual meltdown during his weekly interview with 105.3 The Fan, in which he seemed to threaten the presenters’ jobs. Sharpe, not delighted by Jones’ actions, stated: “I hate, I detest, I despise someone that will prey on the weak. And because Jerry Jones is in an advantageous situation, because he has the power in this situation, he would actually say that publicly. That tells me a lot about a man that has power and would abuse that power.”

What caused Shannon Sharpe to react this way to Jerry Jones ?

Shan and RJ, the show’s hosts, questioned Jones about the Cowboys’ growing problems during his presence. In answer to the hosts’ inquiries, Jones stated: “This is not your job,” “Your job isn’t to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I’m sorry that I did it. That’s not your job. I’ll get somebody else to ask these questions. I’m not kidding.”

Following the Cowboys’ 47-9 home loss to the Lions, the 80-year-old made these comments. Jones shouldn’t be too concerned about replacing radio presenters at this point in the season, considering the Cowboys are presently 3-3.

Sharpe was correct to accuse Jones of abusing his position of authority just because he disliked being questioned. Sharpe defended the radio hosts by saying that it was their responsibility to ask questions and accused Jones of not doing enough to bolster his roster during the offseason.
