According to Carmelo Anthony, his son can succeed in the NBA if he follows the path set by the 10-time All-Star and innumerable other players who achieved professional status.
15-year-old Kiyan Anthony is now making his way to the collegiate ranks and will probably join the Syracuse Orange, much as his father did more than 20 years ago, but for now, he is still honing his skills in high school.
His father thinks he can succeed if he stays focused, even though he is under a lot of pressure to follow his dream and live up to the legacy of the small/power forward who scored over 28,000 points in the NBA.
On The Tonight Show, Carmelo stated: “It’s tough. I’m seeing this all over again from my son,”. “The way that people was probably looking at me when I was coming up in high school.” “I get a chance to look at my son in this situation the same way. There’s pressure and you know what’s ahead of them. The blueprint is already laid. If you follow the blueprint, the blueprint will get you there.”
The youngster claimed that although he has previously faced criticism for being too strict with Kiyan’s training rather than letting him just enjoy the game, he does love being challenged.
Considered a four-star recruit, the teenager’s future is highly anticipated, and if he continues on his current trajectory, he may have a prosperous career in the sport. Kiyan told the media in 2023 : “We used to be in a lot of controversy,”. “Because he was trying to put me in the post at the time.” “Whenever my dad sees us lacking or doing something bad, he always comes to the timeout and gives his input.”
