Deontay Wilder Is Focused On Defeating Francis Ngannou

In June 2024, American boxer Deontay Wilder was knocked out by Zhilei Zhang, and he took a few months to recuperate and consider his boxing condition. He is now prepared to organize his next bout, which appears to be against Francis Ngannou of Cameroon at this time.

He has lost four of his previous five fights, including two to Tyson Fury in 2020 and 2021, a battle against Joseph Parker in 2023, and his most recent appearance, where he was knocked out by Zhilei Zhang in the fifth round. He only defeated Robert Helenius of Finland on this blacklist.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, “The Bronze Bomber” stated that he is prepared to begin talks to face “The Predator,” a successful mixed martial arts fighter who has lost both of his boxing bouts in Saudi Arabia. He lost to Anthony Joshua by knockout in the second round after losing by decision to Tyson Fury, who he honored by sending to the canvas in the third round.

In what will be a bout between two giants over 1.90m, Ngannou has already stated that he expects to face Wilder, who wants to contact the Cameroonian’s management as soon as possible.
