During their four years together, from 2020 to 2023, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams won an Eastern Conference championship. If you watched their interactions during Friday night’s Hornets vs Celtics game, you wouldn’t know that.
With just over two minutes remaining in the game and Boston leading 114-105, Tatum attempted to bring the ball up the court after grabbing a defensive rebound. Williams threw Tatum to the ground with a body-check as he got close to center court.
The play seemed to upset Tatum, but he did nothing to stop Williams.

However, Williams was dismissed from the game after the referees awarded him a Flagrant 2 penalty. Tatum completed the night with 32 points and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes, while Williams finished with six points and seven rebounds in 30 minutes.
In the end, the Celtics won 124–109 to improve to 5-1 on the season.
