Even after the bombshell accusations against him, Jay-Z refused to go into hiding. The 55-year-old rapper from “Empire State Of Mind” held his head high during Monday’s Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles premiere of Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King.”
Despite the recently updated civil case alleging he and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a “Jane Doe” in 2000 when she was only 13 years old, Jay-Z, whose true name is Shawn Carter, seems unconcerned. The founder of Roc Nation referred to the lawsuit as a “blackmail attempt” and refuted the “heinous” accusations.
On the red carpet for the film (which comes out on December 20), Jay-Z grinned with Beyoncé and 12-year-old Blue Ivy. His wife plays the voice of Nala, and his eldest daughter plays the role of lioness cub Kiara. Tina Knowles, his mother-in-law, even photographed with the troubled celebrity.
The family presented a unified front, demonstrating their support for the Carter patriarch.
