Terrell Owens Blasts Donovan McNabb for Losing the Super Bowl

Given the potential turmoil surrounding quarterbacks and wide receivers in Philadelphia, Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb’s opinions on the matter seem appropriate.

Following McNabb’s discussion of the possible developing relationship between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown, Owens resorted to social media to essentially blame the quarterback for the team’s 2004 season-ending Super Bowl loss, implying that his former teammate ought to have heeded his counsel:

The 2004 season saw the Philadelphia Eagles dominate, going 13-3 before defeating the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings in the postseason to advance to the Super Bowl.

Even though Owens had nine receptions for 122 yards, they were defeated by the New England Patriots in that Super Bowl. In the defeat, McNabb had three interceptions despite throwing for 357 yards and three touchdowns.

McNabb and Owens were not exactly the best of friends, and this is just the most recent instance of the receiver publicly criticizing the quarterback since both have been retired. The bond between Brown and Hurts is more concerning to the Eagles and their supporters.
