VIDEO: Kevin Durant Trashes The 2025 NBA All-Star Game Format – Says It’s Terrible

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant is not holding anything back when it comes to the new 2025 NBA All-Star Game format. And let me tell you, he is not a fan. Like, at all. The league announced this new format that involves a mini-tournament and four teams, and KD is boldly calling it “terrible.”

As a 14-time All-Star, you would think Durant would have some insight, but no. He’s not buying it. He even went as far as to say that the changes are just awful. There is no sugarcoating here.

“I hate it,” the 36-year-old forward told reporters. “Absolutely hate it. Terrible.”

“All the formats — terrible, in my opinion. We should just go back to East-West. Just play a game.”

I can understand his frustration. Change is never easy, especially when it comes to something as prestigious as the All-Star Game. And having four teams instead of the traditional East vs West setup, well, it’s definitely a departure from what we’re used to.

To make matters worse, they brought in Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Candace Parker as team managers. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to make it better, but Durant doesn’t seem too thrilled about it.

Durant is not mincing words when it comes to his feelings about this new format. He’s not afraid to say that he hates it, and I can’t help but wonder if other players feel the same way. We’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out.
