Lamar Jackson got an earful from his mom after the Ravens-Eagles game! She was pretty ticked off that he didn’t run more. Can you imagine? Your mom telling you off for not using your legs enough during a football game? That’s rough.
Mothers always know best, right? Lamar’s mom wants to see him out there, using his incredible running skills to his advantage.
“My momma just told me that,” said the reigning MVP in a video shared by ESPN’s Jamison Hensley on X. “She just cussed me out, so I’m mad. She said there were lanes I should’ve took and ran.”
Like a doting son, the 27-year-old dual threat agreed with his mother’s analysis. After all, as they say, mom knows best.
“I was just trying to let guys develop routes and I was just trying to go through my progressions,” said the Ravens star. “But yeah, she’s right.”
It’s funny how even superstar athletes aren’t immune to a little scolding from their moms. Maybe next time, Lamar will take her advice and put those speedy feet to good use.
