Greg Hardy‘s adventure in combat sports keeps taking unexpected turns. Alexei Papin, a Russian kickboxer and boxer, squared up against Hardy on Friday at Megasport Sport Palace in Moscow. Hardy was unbeaten when he stepped into the boxing ring, but that quickly changed in the third round. Papin rained blows on Hardy until he finally knocked him out with a cartoonish right hook that sent Hardy falling to the canvas.

Hardy is a former UFC heavyweight and NFL All-Pro. Hardy earned his way to the UFC after starting his professional MMA career on Contender Series, where he accumulated a 4-5 record with one no-contest.
After Hardy fought out his contract in 2022 and ended on a three-fight losing run, the organization decided not to re-sign him. Since quitting the UFC, Hardy has engaged in boxing and bare-knuckle boxing. He was recently revealed as one of the new MMA promotion Global Fight League members.
