Brett Favre and Jackson Mahomes Support President Donald Trump at Super Bowl LIX

The Super Bowl is one of the most popular pastimes in America right now. Still, no U.S. president in office has ever gone to the big game. Donald Trump‘s flight to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX on Sunday changed that.

Trump’s attendance at Super Bowl LIX was well received by social media users. Brett Favre, a former legend of the Packers, was thrilled to see Trump “get an ovation during [the] National Anthem.”

Jackson Mahomes and Trump posed for a photo in the suites at the Superdome. When he took in the competition, others responded with phrases like “God bless America” and “America is back.”

Unfortunately, the spectators were treated to a non-competitive game. With 8:01 left in regulation, the Philadelphia Eagles lead the Kansas City Chiefs 40-6 after scoring 34 points in a row to start the game.

By halftime, Nick Sirianni’s squad was ahead 24-0. Jalen Hurts’ 46-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith was the Eagles’ game-changing play.
