Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Can Smell Trouble as UFL Players Go AWOL

According to a statement made last year by UFL co-owner Dwayne “The Rock,” the league will start its second season on March 28, 2025. The 2025 UFL season is quickly approaching, and the league is experiencing serious problems with every quarterback.

At the right moment, it appears that it may be postponed. That isn’t a lot of time to get ready for the season, and this week all 24 UFL quarterbacks skipped a planned quarterback minicamp due to tight contract negotiations with the league.

Can Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson rescue UFL from dying?

In a statement released on Friday, the UFL said: “The United Football League continues to negotiate in good faith with the players union to finalize a Collective Bargaining Agreement, which will be beneficial to both the players and the league,”.

What Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson accomplishes in the upcoming month is still up in the air.

The League’s twenty-four quarterbacks are no longer showing up for work. According to the Sports Business Journal, the signal callers, who are looking for greater pay and benefits, chose not to go to a training camp this weekend that is only for quarterbacks.

The second season of the UFL is just one month away, which is significant because so many new leagues have failed in their attempts to replicate their success.

The championship game between the Birmingham Stallions and San Antonio Brahmas on Fox last year drew 1.6 million viewers, making it the most watched event of the second incarnations of the XFL and USFL.
