Josh Hart was fined by the NBA for his poor play. For trying to get the NBA officials to call him foul, Hart received a small punishment. Play proceeded as the Boston Celtics continued to thrash the New York Knicks, despite the referees not believing his spectacular performance. Hart’s acting career did not impress the official Tony Brothers in the least.

It’s obvious that Jrue Holiday hooked Hart, and he might have received a call if he hadn’t overblown the contact. In the end, the Celtics triumphed 118-105 after taking an 80-60 lead.

Hart’s embellishment of the encounter with Holiday resulted in a $2,000 fine. He joked about his effort at flopping on his social media page:

He shared: “Dang no Oscar for me,”

Hart was laughing at the failure, but Knicks supporters were upset with him and took to social media to express their feelings. NBA players who flip are fined $2,000, with the amount rising with each infraction.

Typically, the NBA evaluates the foul after the game, and play is not stopped for flopping. After the game, Hart talked about how the Knicks haven’t been able to beat any of the best teams in the NBA, but he didn’t address his failure.
