Travis Kelce has stated that he will not be retiring from the NFL and that he intends to return in 2025.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end confirmed on Thursday that he would return and play next season in a text message that ESPN host Pat McAfee read aloud on his broadcast.
This is what the 35-year-old wrote: “My dog!!! I’m coming back for sure,”
“Gonna try and get to the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”
Kelce’s most recent mention is the LIX Super Bowl, in which the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Chiefs 40–22 earlier this month.
After speaking on Wednesday’s episode of the NFL’s The Insiders podcast, Brett Veach, the general manager of the Chiefs, confirmed that Kelce will not be retiring from the NFL.
