Jessica begins her new song, “Leave,” by discussing their love story and how it began as “magic” before becoming “tragic.”
In the second verse, she sings: “Your weakness made me lonely, unholy matrimony,”
Jessica then discusses how she is “stronger” alone and how she wants her partner to depart. “How’d this even happen?” she says. before posing a follow-up question with a shocking comment. Halfway through the song, she poses the question, suggesting that the person her partner was having an affair with was dressed similarly to her: “Did she get you off dressing up in my clothes?”

After pleading with her lover to leave once more, Jessica announces that she is letting him go. This follows the announcement that Jessica and her husband, Eric Johnson, had divorced after over a decade of marriage.
