Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are at odds over the rapper’s latest single, which reportedly features Sean “Diddy” Combs and their 11-year-old daughter North West.
On X (previously Twitter), Ye, 47, posted the new song, “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” along with images of a purported text message exchange in which he and Kardashian, 44, quarreled over their oldest child’s participation in the song.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian feud over North West
According to TMZ, Kardashian allegedly told West in the texts that she had trademarked North’s name in an effort to prevent the song’s release. West said to his former spouse: “I’m never speaking to you again,”
According to TMZ, Kardashian responded: “I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop. I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark! We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids names and trademarks. So one else would take them.”
West replied to this : “Amend it or I’m going to war,” “And neither of us will recover from the public fallout.” “You’re going to have to kill me.”
Kardashian submitted legal letters requesting a cease and desist about West’s new song with their daughter, according to sources who spoke to TMZ. West apparently did not attend the emergency session with a judge and mediator, but he did pledge not to release the song.
Kardashian doesn’t want North associated with Combs’ legal troubles or West’s recent contentious actions, the insiders continued. Representatives for West, Kardashian, and Combs, 55, have been contacted by The Post for comment.
Combs is identified as Puff Daddy in West’s most recent single. The song also features Christian “King” Combs, the music mogul’s 26-year-old son, and musician Jasmine Williams, who West claimed was a Chicago-based Yeezy artist.
