In a recent appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Matthew Fletcher, the former defense lawyer for imprisoned music mogul Suge Knight, disclosed his predictions regarding the outcome of P. Diddy‘s sex trafficking and racketeering case.
Diddy has been incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, since his arrest in September 2024 on allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering, to which he entered a not guilty plea. Matthew told Piers before of the East Coast rapper’s trial that he thinks Diddy is “walking” in spite of the grave accusations made against him.
Matthew was referring to the recent departure of one of Diddy’s attorneys from the case: “This is a joke. This case is blown up into something from nothing,” “First of all [a lawyer] getting off the case means nothing… in all likelihood, he wasn’t even particularly privy to all the comings and goings on the case.”
Suge Knight’s ex lawyer claims P Diddy isn’t “Dumb” to fight it
Matthew blasted Diddy, saying the mogul was “obnoxious” and “arrogant,” but he asserted that the rap legend wasn’t “dumb” at all.
He clarified: “[Diddy] is arrogant, he’s obnoxious, he’s a lot of things but that is a lot of things a lot of the people in the music industry are but he’s not dumb… There are some people in Hollywood who have different sex lives than people in mid America,” . “I have talked to people about these ‘videos’ on multiple occasions, no one has told me that there is ever any, 1, there is no baby oil, 2, there is no children and 3, there’s no force, no coercion, no duress. These are commercial sex workers. He’s a voyeur. He liked to watch his significant others have sex. There is almost nothing to this case.”
Matthew also expressed his belief that it was “almost laughable in the historical context” to accuse Diddy of violating the laws governing the slave trade. In the legal field, this elevates Wokism to a new level. A film producer, director, or recording artist bringing someone in to have sex with his wife or girlfriend while he watched was not intended to be covered by the Mann Act, often known as the White Slave Trade Act.
Additionally, Matthew brought up the widely shared hotel video from 2016 that showed him brutally abusing Cassie Ventura, his ex-girlfriend, which was made public again last year. He said: “[Diddy] beat her like a dog and he should go to prison for that. Unfortunately, he was never charged… that is a crime, without a doubt, but it’s not sex trafficking without a doubt,”.
“[Diddy’s] got a very good defense team… This is not a real case… I think he’s walking.”
