The Philadelphia Eagles Are Considering Making a Big Trade for Myles Garrett

The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to build on their recent Super Bowl victory, but several players on that team, including some of its best defensive linemen like Josh Sweat and Milton Williams, are expected to go in free agency.

Therefore, general manager Howie Roseman needs to take some action to maintain his position at the top. According to the most recent rumors, he might be open to making a blockbuster move rather than just any old transfer.

NFL Insider speaks about Eagles – Myles Garrett move

According to Dianna Russini of the Athletic, the Eagles may be ready to allow some of those other guys depart in order to get a true superstar edge rusher because they have expressed interest in Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett.

GM of the NFL informed Russini: “Garrett could be this year’s version of Saquon Barkley for Howie (Roseman, the Eagles general manager),”

“He’s an impact add and isn’t a free-agent overpay. Howie’s not afraid to try stuff, and it fits where they are as a team.”

A new contract will not satisfy Garrett’s demands for a trade out of Cleveland. Because he wants to win a Super Bowl, he hopes that the Browns’ lack of winning potential and lack of vision will lead him to join a team like the Eagles.

With two years remaining on his deal, Garrett and any team, including the Eagles, will need to negotiate a new deal to help spread out the cap hits from his massive salary.
