UGA wide receiver Nitro Tuggle has been hit with a suspension after getting busted for reckless driving. That’s right! He got in some serious trouble off the field. And let’s just say, it wasn’t a little fender bender.
Apparently Nitro was driving like a maniac, putting not only himself but also innocent people at risk. And you know what they say, no one is above the law, not even a star football player. UGA has taken this matter seriously and has decided to suspend Nitro indefinitely.
Tuggle was booked into the Athens Clarke Co. (Ga.) jail at 1:56 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday and released about an hour later after posting a $20 cash bond, according to public records.
The sophomore wideout’s arrest is the latest in a series of driving-related arrests involving Georgia football players over the last several offseasons.
Tuggle initially intended to enter the transfer portal after his first season with the Bulldogs, but changed his mind a day later and stayed with the program.
He appeared in six games and finished last season with three catches for 34 yards.
It’s just a shame to see Tuggle make such a dumb mistake. Let’s hope he learns from this and comes back stronger and more focused. Good luck, Nitro. We’re rooting for you.
