Shantel Jackson thought Nelly would come crawling back to her after she dumped him. But guess what? He had other plans and went for his ex-girlfriend Ashanti instead! What a loss!
I mean, come on, Shantel, what were you thinking? Nelly is a hot commodity in the music industry, and he’s not just going to sit around waiting for you to change your mind. And who can blame him for going after Ashanti? She’s a total babe with talent to match and besides, they have history.
“I left,” Jackson began before emphasizing she was the one who pulled the plug on the relationship, “I LEFT because I wanted initially, I guess, space to see … maybe … will the space bring us back together, or do I need this space because I just need to rip off that band-aid.”
Jackson says that the space ended up being necessary to “rip that band-aid off.” She goes on to clarify that, despite the split, there’s “no ill-will, nothing bad” between her and the “Hot In Herre” rapper.
“Sometimes people don’t work out. People grow apart,” Jackson added. “Like, sometimes one person might want to still be in the situation, and the other person is like, this isn’t working. It happens, you know?”
But hey, let’s not get too caught up in the drama. Life goes on, right? Shantel should move on and find someone new, because she’s never getting Nelly back.
So, the moral of the story is: don’t think you can dump a man and expect him to come crawling back. Sometimes, they’ve already got their eyes on someone new. And that is the way the cookie crumbles.
