Family members recall Stephanie Brinson as the “most giving, kindhearted person.” A small business owner in California is being remembered by her family as the “most giving, kindhearted person” following her alleged murder during a conjugal visit in November 2024 by her husband, who is currently receiving a life sentence.
The Los Angeles Times was informed this week by the Amador County Sheriff’s Office that David Brinson, 54, is charged with the murder of his wife, Stephanie Brinson, 62, at Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California. According to a statement from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, David first complained to authorities on November 13 that his wife had fainted at around two in the morning.
According to the statement, after efforts to resuscitate her, the victim was declared dead at 2:51 a.m. The Sacramento Bee was informed by Sheriff Gary Redman that strangling was the cause of Stephanie’s death.
The CDCR informed the Bee that her spouse had been serving a life sentence without the chance of release. According to the Times, David was incarcerated for four consecutive life sentences without the chance of release.
He was found guilty of killing four men in a heist in 1990 and is currently being imprisoned at the California Health Care Facility in Stockton, more than 30 years after being sentenced in 1994, according to the Times.
