A Judge Released a Lady Who Was Detained Following a Sham 911 Call Connected to Young Scooter’s Death

The mugshot of a woman accused of making a fictitious 911 call that authorities claim set off the series of events that led to Atlanta rapper Young Scooter‘s death has been made public by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, 31-year-old Demetria Spence was arrested and sent to the Fulton County Jail. Transmitting a false public alarm is the charge against her. According to Atlanta Police, on March 28, after receiving her call, officers were called to a residence in Lakewood Heights where Kenneth Bailey, better known by his stage as Young Scooter, passed away due to a leg injury.

Spence chose not to show up for her scheduled appearance in Fulton County courts on Wednesday. In addition to imposing a $7,500 bond, the judge ordered Spence to avoid weapons, the scene of the incident, and any interaction with witnesses.

A caller reported seeing armed men at a residence and a naked woman being taken inside, prompting officers to respond to William Nye Drive SE. According to the APD, police were unable to verify those complaints when they arrived.

Additionally, the caller reported hearing gunfire and implied that a youngster might be involved. The complete 911 call, which the agency made public on Monday, immediately attracted notice and criticism.
