On the fifth day of Tay-K‘s capital murder trial, the rapper’s ex-girlfriend testified that she saw him shoot the victim in 2017.
Joanna Reyes, who was dating the Texas rapper at the time of the event, testified in Tay-K’s second murder trial in Bexar County Court in Texas on Monday, April 7. She stated in her testimony that on April 23, 2017, she witnessed Tay-K shoot and murder Mark Anthony Saldivar. Tay-K and three other guys, including Jaylen Bell, tried to rob Saldivar of camera equipment in the backseat of the SUV while Reyes was at the wheel.
At approximately 33:50 in the video below, Reyes informed the jury: “Taymor pulled out his gun and pointed it at Mark and asked for his bag,” . “Mark refused to give him the bag and they all started hitting him. Taymore was hitting him with the gun.”
“They were going through [the victim’s] backpack and his wallet,” Reyes said. “They had got upset because it was only $10…They were kinda going back-and-forth. Then Jaylen applauded [Tay-K] and gave him a high-five. They high-fived each other. And Jaylen said, ‘You caught your first body.'”
