Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is reportedly scheduled to meet the Steelers on Thursday. The Steelers may be confident of selecting Sanders at No. 21, since he has been falling down draft lists as the big day draws near.
They might think about trading up for him if their visit goes well enough, even if they can’t get him that low. Sanders has already visited the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns, and now he will join the Steelers for a top-30 visit.
The fact that Sanders was not met by the Steelers at the NFL Combine is noteworthy. His pro day was also missed by general manager Omar Khan and head coach Mike Tomlin.
In particular, they lost out on a fantastic effort from Sanders, who completed 58 of his 63 passes. Receivers dropped three of his incompletions. While they continue to kick the rock down the road with Rodgers, the Steelers are scouting Sanders.
