If not for President Donald Trump’s NFL draft tantrum, Shedeur Sanders would still be without an NFL home. At least that’s what the White House press secretary said on Monday, stating, “The facts speak for themselves.”
After the first day of the yearly selection, No. 45-47 was enraged. He said that anyone who didn’t select the former Colorado quarterback was “STUPID” since his Hall of Fame parents raised him well.

Karoline Leavitt responded that the evidence speaks for itself when asked if Sanders’ selection by the Cleveland Browns at No. 144 overall more than a day later was a direct result of Trump’s Truth Social indignation.
Leavitt grinned and said: “All I will say is the President put out a statement, and a few rounds later he was drafted,”
“So, I think the facts speak for themselves on that one.”
The exchange was obviously intended to spark some laughter, but it wouldn’t be shocking if Trump thought his influence sped up the process—after all, Sanders lasted until Day 3 before his name was called. Despite relocating to Cleveland, Sanders appears content with his NFL status.
