Video: Karmelo Anthony Moved To A Safe Place Over Threats Ahead Of Austin Metcalf Murder Trial

Guess what? Karmelo Anthony just got moved to a safe place over death threats ahead of the Austin Metcalf murder trial. If you haven’t been following this case, let me catch you up. Karmelo is on trial for the murder of Metcalf, and things have been getting pretty heated. We all know how big of a deal this trial is, so safety is a top priority.

So, the family decided it was best to move Karmelo to a more secure location to ensure his safety. I mean, it makes sense. This trial has been getting a lot of attention, and emotions are running high.

Anthony, a 17-year-old student at Frisco Centennial High School, was arrested and charged with murder for fatally stabbing Frisco Memorial High School student-athlete Austin Metcalf at the University Interscholastic League’s District 11-5A championship track meet at Frisco ISD’s Kuykendall Stadium.

His bail was originally $1 million but was then lowered to $250,000. Karmelo Anthony was released from jail and placed under house arrest last week.

In a press conference last week, Anthony’s mother, Kala Hayes, said her family had been targeted with threats and harassment.

The 17-year-old charged in the stabbing death of high school track star Austin Metcalf will face an “uphill battle” if his attorneys present a self-defense claim in court.

Anthony was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of Austin Metcalf on April 2 at the Kuykendall Stadium..

Julie Rendelman, a former Deputy Bureau Chief in the Kings County District Attorney’s Homicide Bureau, argues that Anthony may have trouble proving he used reasonable force to protect himself.

“If the evidence is what it is right now, I think he’s going to have an uphill battle claiming self-defense,” Julie Rendelman, a New York attorney who is not involved in the case, told Fox News Digital. “But we may learn much, much more that changes that perspective. And that could be for a jury or a grand jury to decide.”

According to witnesses, Metcalf, from Memorial High School, and Anthony, from Centennial High School, became involved in a verbal altercation over where he was seated.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m super curious to see how this trial unfolds. With Karmelo Anthony as the accused and all these death threats and hate coming out, it’s going to be a wild ride in court. At the end of it all, fair trial and justice are what everyone is crying out for.
