Arch Manning Touted for Greatness by NFL Analyst

Todd McShay, an NFL Draft analyst, has given Arch Manning a high rating for his abilities and potential as he gets ready to replace him as the Texas Longhorns‘ starting quarterback.

Manning is gaining early recognition as one of college football’s most intriguing prospects heading into the 2025 season thanks to his strong football heritage and promising combination of mental and athletic skills.

Todd McShay opens up on Arch Manning

Speaking candidly about Manning’s qualities, McShay did not mince words. He said:

“His combination of prototypical size, mobility, an excellent release, and his natural accuracy-it’s all there for him to be a great player. The ball snaps off his hand, and he’s both slippery and strong in the pocket, showing the ability to extend passing plays and break away from defenders in the open field as a runner.”

“And the second, more important thing: In that small sample, I saw a young player who was learning from his failures, progressing quickly, and loosening his grip on needing to be perfect.”

Manning takes over for the Texas program at a critical juncture. Manning is under tremendous strain as the team moves to the SEC and the national spotlight brightens.
